The SBS Climage & Energy OBN present: Real Talk with Joaquin Viquez

Where most saw a mounting waste problem, Joaquin Viquez saw an opportunity. He founded VIOGAZ, a social enterprise that deploys biogas digesters to help Costa Rican farmers transform agricultural waste into useful energy. We’ll hear about Joaquin’s journey, discuss the climate science behind the agricultural waste challenge, and continue with an interactive discussion on the opportunities and challenges inherent to a social enterprise operating on the front lines of climate mitigation. Joaquin is currently a Skoll Scholar at the Saïd Business School.

Event format: Short presentation from Joaquin, a short interview about his journey as a climate entrepreneur, followed by open discussion.

This event is part of our Real Talk speaker series on Climate and Energy.
