As ‘lock-down life’ continues the Founders & Funderslunchtime sessions are here to provide a platform to share some much neededentrepreneurial energy, right into your own homes. This Thursday’s ‘Foundersand Funders’ lunchtime session we will hear from Dr. Rabia Khan who is helping tobuild one unicorn after another. This time as a Managing Director at SensyneHealth, having joined them from BenevolentAI:

Rabia Khan PhD MBA -Sensyne Health

Rabia is Managing Director ofDiscovery Sciences at Sensyne Health. Sensyne Health is a healthcaretechnology company that creates value from accelerating the discovery anddevelopment of new medicines and improving patient care through the analysis ofreal-world evidence from large databases of anonymised patient data incollaboration with NHS Trusts.

Rabiahas a background in immuno-genetics with a passion for bridging the worlds ofscience, business and technology. She completed her BSc in Biology andEconomics from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and went on to complete aPhD in Genetics studying the genetics underlying the host immune response toTyphoid. Following this, she joined Meta, an artificial intelligencecompany using NLP to uncover knowledge within the biomedical literature. In herrole as VP Commercial Partnerships, she worked with the CEO to understandproduct-market fit, built products for commercial partners and was instrumentalin the IAPRA partnership. Meta has since been acquired by Chan ZuckerbergBioHub. Following Meta, she went on to a post-doctoral fellowship at the FrancisCrick Institute under Dr. Frickel, where she worked on establishing cellularmodels for the immune response to Toxoplasma infection in induced pluripotentstem cell derived macrophages. She returned to working at the intersection ofBiology and Technology and joined BenevolentAI, an AI-enabled drug discoverycompany, as a scientist and established a number of pre-clinical drug-discoveryprogrammes. She worked closely with the BenevolentAI product team to defineproduct vision based on drug-discovery needs and rose to the role of AssociateDirector Strategy and Planning working closely with Prof. Jackie Hunter.
