Founders & Funders host Husayn Kassai, Co-Founder and CEO of Onfido, on Thursday 19 November.

Husayn Kassai is the Onfido CEO and Co-Founder. Onfido uses AI to verify any government ID and then compares it with the person’s facial biometrics. Founded in 2012, Onfido has grown to a team of 400 across SF, NYC and London; received over $200m in funding from TPG, Salesforce, Microsoft and others; and works with over 1,500 fintech, banking and marketplace clients globally –helping them onboard more users while reducing risk.  Husayn is a WEF Tech Pioneer; a Forbes Contributor; and Forbes’ ’30 Under 30.’ He has a BA in Economics and Management from Keble College, Oxford.

Founders & Funders is an initiative by Saïd Business School, bridging the gap between science and business

Founders & Funders is a lunchtime event series of informal conversations about science and business. The initiative was first held in March 2020 as an extension of the ‘Ideas2 Impact’ programme. The sessions convene early career research scientists, MBAs, and others interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. The speakers are science business founders and funders, mostly Oxford-based, but also drawn in from the wider ecosystem, such as leading experts and alumni based in Silicon Valley, Boston, and beyond.
