About this Event
What can I expect from the peer group?

The set will follow action learning principles (www.actionlearningassociates) and give facilitators an opportunity to both present ideas and challenges around peer facilitation and get feedback on their peer facilitation technique in a confidential and supportive environment. There will be some input from the hosting faciltators on common pitfalls to avoid and tips/approaches that help successful peer groups. Typical topics/strategies include:

– identify who is a peer?

– identifying common purpose?

– contracting with the group and peer group protocols

– including or managing dominating or reticent participants

– the power of open questions

– creating structure

– defining actions

– what is the learning?

– common pitfalls

Who is it for?

This peer group is for exisiting facilitators within or wanting to work with social purpose organisations. To get the most out of this group you will already be facilitating peer to peer sessions, or be planning to do so . You will want to do learn from other facilitators and get feedback from them too.

How will it work?

This will be a small group of around 6 – 8 successful applicants. Spaces are limited in order to maximise the benefit for those participating. Applicants will be required to complete a short questionnaire to help assess suitability and compatibility and may receive a phone call as part of the application process.
