There are lots of factors to consider when deciding whether to grow or sell your business. Serial entrepreneur Marcus Exall & M&A expert Andy Maher from Endeavour, an M&A advisory business, have bought and sold many companies. They will share their experiences of successful growth strategies and tips for acquisitions and business exit. In addition, Matt Brown, Co-Founder of Quorbit, an enterprise Workforce Planning software solution, will talk about the acquisition of his company by US tech company UKG and his dilemma about whether to sell or grow.
Exit Right 2023 is an expert-led, must-attend event series for any entrepreneur looking to drive their business from start-up to exit.
Following on from the successful 2022 Exit Right events, this year’s talks are from founders and directors who have successfully exited their businesses as well as M&A experts.
Founders will tell you first hand about their exit journey – what went well and what didn’t go quite so well. You will find out the best strategies to employ and what it takes to be one of the successful 10% of businesses that exit – whether it’s through an acquisition or IPO.
We also have M&A experts who will give you the inside track on what purchasers are really looking for when they are buying companies.
It’s never too early to hear how others did it and to start planning an exit strategy for your start-up or SME.
The events are aimed at founders, directors and senior management of start-ups and SMEs. Each talk is 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session.
For those who want to meet the speakers, events will be held at The Oxford Trust’s Wood Centre for Innovation in Headington (OX3 8SB). Each event will be followed by drinks and networking at the Centre. The event series starts on Thursday 25th May and will run every two weeks. Start time is 17.30 at the end of the working day. Events will also be livestreamed.
The 2023 events are organised by The Oxford Trust, Barclays Eagle Labs and Oxford Innovation Space and sponsored by Marks & Clerk.
