The Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Student Programme is designed to expose students to the world of entrepreneurship and provide an opportunity to interact with early-stage, science-based companies. Students will work with technical founders admitted to the CDL programme on bespoke projects.
The CDL programme allows students to experience up close the challenges of building scalable technology-based ventures, not only witnessing the process of commercialising technologies, but also actively contributing to it. Students do not need to bring their own venture ideas, instead they are paired to work with some of the most promising tech ventures in the UK and Europe. This way, students get to apply and make practical use of the foundational academic concepts they learnt in their core classes, such as economics, operations, marketing, leadership and finance.
When does the student programme take place?
October 2021 – June 2022.
Programme Requirements:
- Attendance – Students are expected to attend all the Sessions*, Debriefs, Tutorials and the Creative Destruction Technology Series; students will be responsible for meeting and communicating with their assigned venture in between these dates.
- Commitment – Beyond talks, session days and tutorials, we estimate that each student will spend approximately 50 hours doing research for the venture consulting projects.
- Venture consulting projects – Each student team will be working on a bespoke consulting project
At the end of the programme, students will present their work to a group of CDL Stakeholders – Moderators, Tutors and Team.
Applications close on Friday 8th October at 5PM BST.
