What is the Conception X programme?

It’s a venture builder that creates deep tech startups from PhDs. We help students commercialise their research.

It’s a 9-month remote programme, which includes business and technology coaching, mentorship, deep tech entrepreneurial training, community events, legal support and so much more!

Who is it for?

PhD students working on an innovative technology based on their research, from any UK university.

Not ready to start a business just yet? Conception X also has a track for those who want to learn about entrepreneurship and consider it as a career choice, without having to commit to building a startup.

Over the past 3.5 years, 215+ venture scientists across 170+ teams have gone through the programme, with £13M+ capital raised. Teams make considerable progress, including revenue generation and collaborations with top firms. With Covid-19, the programme has successfully transitioned to a remote model.
