We believe that students and residents have the power to make meaningful change and create a more equal Oxford. We work in partnership with the University of Oxford, OSEP and other local organisations to support people to develop social enterprises to bring positive change to Oxford and beyond.

We provide support for students and staff from the University of Oxford to test their ideas and set up social ventures to tackle inequality and disadvantage in Oxfordshire. We run a programme of training and events through the academic year, and support students and staff with ideas to apply for funding through the Community Enterprise Awards.

You can choose to apply for one of two types of grant:
Try It Grant (up to £500) to test out an enterprising idea
Do It Grant (up to £1500) to implement an enterprising idea in full

To apply for a grant, you’ll need to meet our criteria:
The idea from the project comes from a student or member of staff at the University of Oxford.
The project addresses inequality and/or disadvantage in Oxfordshire.
(Ideally) The project will mobilise students and/or harness the power of community volunteering.

Along with funding, Award winners will receive support for their project including advice and connections to relevant networks and organisations.

Got an idea? Contact Roisin at roisin@oxfordhub.org

Deadline to apply extended to: 28 February 2023.
