This session will help to raise your awareness of what mental health is and why it’s important, as well as introducing you to some of the most common mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, psychosis and eating disorders. In preparation for ‘Time to Talk’ day on 2nd February 2023, it will help you to feel more confident in approaching a conversation about mental health with your staff, volunteers and customers, and provide an introduction to supporting someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
Please note, this session will not teach you how to cope with a mental health issue – if you need mental health support please contact your doctor (GP), or find other support services via Mind here. If you’re in crisis and need urgent help please call 999, go straight to your nearest A&E department, or call your local crisis team.
This session is part of the Community Business Forum series with a different topic for presentation and discussion each month.
Kindly supported by Hastoe Housing Association.
