BUILDING A NEW GENERATION OF VENTURES.
The Oxford Foundry is building a new generation of ventures.

Are you are a pre-Seed or Seed-stage University of Oxford alumni or student-founded venture and would like to apply for Cohort 4? You can apply online from 12 January – 12 February 2021. The accelerator is 6 months from April – October 2021 and is equity-free.

We’re seeking high-potential ventures that want to solve the world’s biggest problems and create transformational impact for society and our economy. Ventures that will make the planet and our society a better place through their purpose, technology, principles and capability. Whether that be helping combat the climate crisis, using emerging terchnologies to solve inefficiencies in healthcare, or the other critical Sustainable Development Goals. Ambitious leaders whose ventures will not only be profitable and improve livelihoods, but go on to create jobs and opportunities for others, focusing on people as well as profit. Could that be you?

Since our first Accelerator Cohort in 2018, our ventures have gone on to raise £40m, are worth more than £140m and create more than 150m jobs, reinventing and rebuilding economies. They have allowed things which weren’t possible before, they’ve created services to save the NHS time and money, help prevent illegal ivory poaching, help diagnose Alzheimer’s early, create low carbon technology, and so much more. The Oxford Foundry and our portfolio ventures are a truly global community, operating in 17 cities across the world, including New York, London, Kampala, Tallinn, Munich and Karachi.

We provide 6-months of bespoke support focused on developing CEOs, teams, products, and models, and helping founders learn how to rapidly build and scale their start-ups through mentoring, leadership and business curriculum, access to investment and Oxford’s unparalleled talent and networks, partner and client introductions. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be part of a successful, supportive and reputable community of internationally-renowned experts, specialists and entrepreneurs, with the Oxford Foundry and OXFO Elevate featured in FT, The Times, Forbes, and BBC.

What do we look for?

We support early-stage Oxford-affiliated ventures who have:

a determination to solve a big problem and make a clear economic and social impact
a passion for innovation, and no fear of risk
a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and proof of concept
a diverse and committed team able to commit to the programme demands
demonstrable early traction, such as customers, pilots and partners
We are sector-agnostic – all industry areas are considered.
Feedback from ventures from cohort 2 of the accelerator:

100% of entrepreneurs said they would recommend L.E.V8 to other startups.
100% of entrepreneurs said the OXFO L.E.V8 accelerator exceeded their expectations.
Overall, the cohort 2 programme received a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 9.1
