If you are a student or researcher in the University, you need to understand the rules for intellectual property (IP) within the university.
The Support for Researchers page on the University Website has a great list of where to find resources relating to intellectual property and commercialisation within the university. These links will outline what is IP, and what rights you have within the university pertaining to IP.
If you think you have created IP while at the University, please get in touch with Isis Innovation, who have a great deal of expertise about the protection and exploitation of intellectual property (including patents, copyrights, software, design rights, data and other rights). They will be very glad to help or give advice.
